February Monthly Meeting: Corrosion at Pipe Supports
On February 21st your Louisiana Coating Society will be holding our first meeting of 2019. We’ll be meeting at 11:30 in Cabela’s for a lunch presentation about the causes and prevention of corrosion at pipe supports.
Mr. Bob Green will be our featured presenter. Mr. Green is a retired Mechanical PE with over 43 years in the chemical industry. He is also the inventor, owner, and CFO of the Bobby Jack Pipe Lift System. His presentation will address the causes of corrosion, the proper ways to address it, and safely lifting pipes off supports for inspections and repairs.
After Mr. Green’s presentation our president, Mr. Tim Furnish, will introduce Mr. Jim Kunkle, PCS from SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings . Mr. Kunkle has the primary responsibility of Business Development at SSPC and will be presenting the trainings and course offerings that SSPC offers.
Of course both gentlemen will be available after the presentations for questions, further discussions, etc.
